Le Relais de l`Isle - Paris

If you're going to Paris, be sure to visit Le Relais de l `Isle on the island of Ile Sant-Louis. Not for the food, which is fantastic, but because of the atmosphere in the small restaurant. It gives you a sense of really being appreciated as a guest.  Remember to book tables in advance and enjoy. Latest news: 21. of May Le Relais de l'Isle closed permanently.:(

The Queen’s Hamlet - Versailles - Paris

The Boudoir

 

Marie-Antoinette, seeking to flee the Court of Versailles, ordered the construction of her hamlet in 1783. There, she regularly found the charms of country life, surrounded by her lady's companions. It became a veritable farm, directed by a farmer, whose products supplied the kitchens of the Palace. The Hamlet consists of a number of houses, like the Mill, the Billiard room and the Boudoir. 

Queen’s Hamlet is a part of the Petit Trianon estate and it`s well worth a visit.
